How Bloom Approaches INFERTILITY CARE
At Bloom, we understand that infertility affects more than your plans for growing a family. It can impact your emotional well-being, relationships, sleep, sense of identity, and everyday life.
Whether you're just beginning to explore fertility options, undergoing IVF or other fertility treatments, or coping with ongoing disappointment, we take time to understand your experience. If your journey has also included miscarriage or pregnancy loss, we offer dedicated grief and pregnancy loss support to help you navigate those experiences.
Our approach focuses on supporting your mental health through every stage of infertility. We consider your emotional symptoms, medical history, sleep, stress, and overall well-being to create an individualized treatment plan.
Your plan may include:
Integrative approaches
personalized strategies that consider sleep, nutrition, movement, stress management, and other factors that influence your emotional well-being during infertility.
Medication management
when appropriate, we explore evidence-based medication options for anxiety, depression, or other mental health concerns, considering your fertility treatment and pregnancy goals.
Therapy
a supportive space for individuals or couples to process infertility-related grief, anxiety, uncertainty, relationship stress, and the emotional challenges of trying to conceive.
Ongoing follow-up
your needs may change throughout your fertility journey. We check in regularly and adjust your mental health treatment plan as your circumstances evolve.

WHAT IS INFERTILITY-RELATED MENTAL HEALTH DISTRESS?
Infertility is generally defined as difficulty achieving pregnancy after 12 months of regular, unprotected intercourse, or after six months for women age 35 and older. Evaluation may be appropriate sooner depending on individual circumstances.
But the emotional impact of infertility doesn't begin or end with a diagnosis.
For many people, trying to conceive becomes a cycle of hope, waiting, disappointment, and uncertainty. Fertility treatments such as IVF or IUI can add financial pressure, difficult decisions, and emotional exhaustion.
Infertility-related anxiety, depression, stress, and grief can affect daily life, relationships, and your sense of self.
You don't need to wait until your symptoms become overwhelming to seek support.
You may benefit from infertility mental health support if you:
Feel anxious, overwhelmed, or consumed by thoughts about getting pregnant
Experience sadness or grief after unsuccessful fertility treatments
Find pregnancy announcements or baby showers emotionally difficult
Feel isolated from friends or family who don't understand your experience
Notice infertility affecting your relationship or intimacy
Struggle with guilt, shame, anger, or feeling like your body has let you down
Have difficulty sleeping, concentrating, or enjoying everyday life
Feel emotionally exhausted by IVF, IUI, or other fertility treatments
